We did not go to worship today. We talked about trials with the kids and the things our family is facing right now with Joshua and the events of the weekend. Joe read from James Ch 1 and we sang some songs. We are trying to teach the kids more hymns and now that we have a piano I am able to play a little from the hymnal I got for my Confirmation. Praise to the Lord, the Almighty & What a Friend We Have in Jesus, and 10,000 Reasons. They are all great songs, but the 2nd one especially speaks to me in times of trial such as this and reminds me that I need to be in constant prayer even when I weak and heavy-laden...
What a friend we have in Jesus,
all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
everything to God in prayer!

all because we do not carry

Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
