Today is looking to be a good day.
- Your dressing came off and the steri strips are now covering your incision.
- Daddy got to kangaroo you - 1st time post-op
- I got to hold you again!
- You are acting stronger and trying to lift your head again.
- You are off the fentanyl - cold turkey
- We have a good nurse today and our favorite nurse is coming tonight.
- Your peripheral IV came out...it fell out and caused some pain and bleeding, but at least you have your hand back!
- You've tolerated your feeds so far.
- You're moving up to 8mLs!
- You got a new neobar and it is a size up - you outgrew the smallest size!
- Lasix is on a double dose right now EEK!!! but tomorrow it will go down to a single dose.(definitely praying about that)
- Your last blood gas came back GREAT!
- They changed your bpm (breaths per minute) to 25 (was at 30). You're waking up more and taking more breaths on your own. Another step in the right direction!
We have been waiting so long for steps in the right direction! Praise the Lord!
